How To Make Your First Dollar

One of the things you do not want to do is pick an audience or a group because of the money or because they're familiar. If you know that you don't like working with a particular group of people, then you don't have to do that. This is your business. This is your side hustle. This is something that you get to do, so this is exciting.

We actually need to validate our business idea. In order to validate your business idea, we have to say what your business idea is. We've already had a couple of business ideas show up. We have someone that's crocheting. We have someone with candles. We have someone has skin care with a basket, but know that this entrepreneurship is not just about having a solid product for me.

I coach, I help build your business from scratch, I help pull those ideas out of your head and give you an idea for a business or product or service. It doesn't have to be drop shipping. It doesn't have to be a health line. It doesn't have to be candles, but it can be. You just have to decide what it is. Are you really good at helping people organize? Are you really good at being handy? Are you good at going into other people's spaces and helping them organize? Are you really good about helping people style their clothes? Figure out what it is that you're good at and if you need help with, I'm here, you have me for this time. If you're having a hard time deciding on what you're good at or what you think your business is going to be, let me help you. One of my values is active service, can you let me help?

What is your business and how are we going to validate it? This is the exciting part. So, part of this is making your first dollar, so do you make that idea by sharing what your business idea is. Let's say it's an idea or it needs to be a production or you have a new idea for treads on tires or something like that, and you don't have a whole manufacturing system to produce these tires, but you have this idea.

Have you ever listened to someone's training and you keep hearing that tweet in the background because their smoke detector keeps going off? So, an idea is for every three months or every six months, however often you're supposed to change out your smoke detectors, this service is you change out the smoke detector battery and you also change out their filter. Now, they can do this as a onetime service or they can get you on retailer, and so they can pay you the one time to come back for the three or four times it takes to change out the filter or they can discharge you or you can just charge for one time service - so that's an idea. How would I validate that idea? Hey, I will come and change out your smoke detector battery and change out your filter. You do not have to worry about not being safe in your own home because your smoke detector or your carbon monoxide detectors, which they should be plugged into the electricity, but that's not the point here, so I would take my idea and take it to Craigslist, because I know Craigslist people are looking to spend money. That is their business. That is what they're doing. They are going there to spend money, so I just go make an ad. When I say you may be spending, I think it's five dollars to post in Craigslist, but you can also go to Facebook marketplace, so you don't have to you can go to your market place of choice anywhere where you know people are buying things.

Let’s say we talk about Stacy's basket. Stacy has these baskets that has her Mary Kay products, so she goes to Craigslist marketplace, but she doesn't just show the value of her basket, her beautiful, her beautifully designed basket. She also offers with her basket a consultation on how to properly use the products. Now, that may be something that already comes when you buy Mary Kay, but she's going to position this value of you don't just get this product, you get me, so she will post that and if one person buys, that validates that idea, and of course, the idea is already validated because she's already a Mary Kay consultant. Yes. These baskets. This is great. This is what I want to do, and I'm sure Stacy can break those down, not just the basket, but if she wants to break it down into more even more manageable products, but she positions herself as the expert that will facilitate, how you can properly use these products and if you have any problems, you can text me, you can get in touch with me. She is positioning herself as an asset, as the value of this product. This exercise is about validating your idea through money. You want the people to buy your thing. If your product is still an idea or you haven't really figured out what it is, talk to me, because I already kind of know what I think would be good ideas for each of you but you have to agree with that.

You should have already figured out who you serve, what you're good at. Tell me, what are your ideas? Don't be scared. This is a safe place; you came here for a reason. Let me help you!
